The film and how to use this dossier
Sicily, 2026. The Finding is a dark, vaguely miraculous western: a discovered treasure makes a bargain between faith, superstition and the Devil tangible. The dialogue-free story moves through grief, sacrifice and greed.
Written, directed and edited by Vincenzo Lo Re, also known as Enzo Lo Re. Production credited on the site: Neolithic Pictures.
This edition brings together existing published notes and materials. It is an editorial synthesis of the sources, not a newly signed director’s text or a manual promising repeatable results. The full film and press materials remain available without registration.
- Producers and co-producers: assess decisions, limitations and information needed before committing.
- Festivals: understand the work and distinguish public viewing from a technical delivery to be confirmed.
- Creative partners: discuss a concrete problem starting from the documented material.

Poetics: the trovatura and the ex voto
The director’s statement brings together two objects from Sicilian tradition: buried treasure that demands a price, and a votive offering placed on a wall. They are not simply folkloric decoration; they form the material structure of the bargain.
The courteous devil and the widow’s tangible response locate the conflict in objects, bodies and consequences. Removing dialogue follows that narrative decision, not a declared inability of the tools to generate voices.
The director’s statement claims human responsibility for framing, light, staging and continuity. Generative material broadens the visual possibilities but does not supply the point of view. An annotated shot breakdown and production screenplay are not public.

Pipeline: what the sources document
The author’s upload credits are distinguished from observations in the three production notes. This sequence helps explain the process but does not reconstruct model versions, settings or an archive of attempts.
- Direction and development: the trovatura, ex voto and dialogue-free approach in the director’s statement. A complete production plan is not supplied.
- Images and video: the author credits generative work within Higgsfield. Credits are not a technical recipe.
- Selection and continuity: the continuity note reports references, variant selection and a shared palette, while acknowledging remaining drift.
- Editing and post: credits name Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop. Frame-level repair breakdowns are not public.
- Sound and music: the note describes ambience and music shaped around the cut; the upload credits ElevenLabs and Suno under the author’s creative direction. Stems and licenses are not included.
- Quality and delivery: no QC report, inspectable master or confirmed delivery specification is supplied. DCP availability, costs, production timings and success rates are not asserted.

Continuity: holding a world together
An editorial synthesis of the published note attributed to Vincenzo Lo Re. The author’s observations are not independent certification of the process.
- Problem: Faces, costumes, lighting and spatial relations drift between generated shots.
- Decision: Treat continuity as an editorial and post-production responsibility rather than a prompt-only promise.
- Process: The original note reports reusing character references, selecting variants by eye and grading toward one palette.
- Result: The author describes a more stable world assembled in the final film. No quantified comparison or independent evaluation is provided.
- Limit: Reference sheets, rejected takes, grading sessions and before/after pairs are not publicly supplied.

Dialogue-free, by design
An editorial synthesis of the published note attributed to Vincenzo Lo Re. The author’s observations are not independent certification of the process.
- Problem: How can a pact, its price and its consequences be understood without verbal explanation?
- Decision: Build the narrative around the found treasure and the offered ex voto.
- Process: The original note describes staging action and cutting on the material exchange rather than explanatory lines.
- Result: The film uses an object-led, dialogue-free narrative, supported by editing and sound.
- Limit: No script comparison, annotated storyboard or comprehension test is available. Intended meaning is not proof of every viewer’s interpretation.

Editing and sound: the exchange
An editorial synthesis of the published note attributed to Vincenzo Lo Re. The author’s observations are not independent certification of the process.
- Problem: Make the bargain readable without an explanatory voice.
- Decision: Land cuts on objects and what is given, rather than on dialogue cues.
- Process: The original note organises the film into find, offer and exchange; it describes ambience and music shaped around the cut.
- Result: The published account identifies the exchange as the editing principle. The finished film is the available result, not a documented audience study.
- Limit: No timeline export, alternate cut, sound stems or mix/QC report is supplied.

Feasibility checklist for a new project
A planning tool for the reader, not a record of checks carried out on The Finding. For each item, record evidence, owner, open limitations and a decision. An unresolved item calls for clarification or a test, not a promise.

Sources, limitations and conversations
Editorial sources: the director’s statement, three Journal articles and the author’s upload credits, reviewed on 19 October 2026. The notes are accounts attributed to the author, not independent measurements. Existing stills show the finished film, not backstage material or before/after comparisons.
Master runtime awaits confirmation: the site previously stated 13′56″, AIFJ lists 13:50 and the linked upload 14:00. These are not assumed to be the same version. The master, QC documentation, authorized breakdowns and contractual confirmations are missing; no fictional technical chapters are added.
